(54) WELDING ELECTRODE HEAD (57) The invention relates to welding, in particular to the design of welding electrode heads for making closed seams. The purpose of the invention is to simplify the design. The head contains an internal spring-loaded electrode 1 and external elastic electrodes 2, connected by a rim 3 and forming a closed loop. The thickness of each electrode 2 is less than the thickness of the rim 3. Such a structure ensures equal distribution of current between the inner and outer electrodes. 1 hp , 3 pcs.

The invention relates to welding, and more specifically to the design of welding electrode heads for the ejection of closed, for example, ring welds.
Sometimes it is necessary to weld one element installed in the hole of the second element, while welding is carried out around the periphery of the hole in order to seal the hole with the element installed in it.
The purpose of the invention is to simplify the design.

The electrode head contains a sprung inner electrode 1 and a plurality of outer electrodes 2, made in the form of twelve inwardly beveled fingers connected by a rim 3 and made integral with it. The electrodes 2 and the bezel 3 form a truncated cone, and the inner electrode 1, in its inactive position, protrudes above its top. The free ends of the electrodes 2 form an annular or other closed figure and have elasticity in the direction of the axis of this figure. Each electrode 2 has a smaller thickness compared to the rim 3 "The rim 3 is held in the collet 4 and connected to the terminals of the welding current source.

The proposed electrode head has the advantage of simplicity of its design, as well as the fact that, when used, it provides a substantially equal distribution of the welding current passing between the inner and outer electrodes over the closed figure, which gives an essentially uniform closed seam forms.

1. A welding electrode head, for resistance spot welding, containing a central spring-loaded electrode and electrically interconnected external electrodes evenly spaced around the central electrode, characterized in that, in order to simplify the design, the external electrodes are provided with a rim connecting them and are arranged to form a truncated cone with through slots on the lateral surface on the side of a smaller diameter.
